The blog may have been quiet for most of this month; however, life has been keeping me pretty busy. I have several things I want to blog about but those will have to wait for another day. Before I head out for a trip to Dallas to celebrate Easter with Miss Butterfly & Miss Doodlebug…
E is for Easter
I’ll leave you with pictures of the incredible Easter sand sculptures in Findlay, Ohio (these pictures are from 2006) and the lyrics to an Artisan family favorite Easter song – The Easter Song by Keith Green.
Hear the bells ringing
They’re singing that you can be born again
Hear the bells ringing
They’re singing Christ is risen from the deadThe angel up on the tombstone
Said He has risen, just as He said
Quickly now, go tell his disciples
That Jesus Christ is no longer deadJoy to the word, He has risen, hallelujah
He’s risen, hallelujah
He’s risen, hallelujahHear the bells ringing
They’re singing that you can be healed right now
Hear the bells ringing, they’re singing
Christ, He will reveal it nowThe angels, they all surround us
And they are ministering Jesus’ power
Quickly now, reach out and receive it
For this could be your glorious hourJoy to the world, He has risen, hallelujah
He’s risen, hallelujah
He’s risen, hallelujah, hallelujahThe angel up on the tombstone
Said He has risen, just as He said
Quickly now, go tell his disciples
That Jesus Christ is no longer deadJoy to the world, He has risen, hallelujah
He’s risen, hallelujah
He’s risen, hallelujah
Hallelujah

Hi Amy– What fun to see the pictures from your visit to the sand sculpture in Findlay. Ironically, Roger Powell is busy working– again– on another Easter sand sculpture as I type. This year he is incorporating Noah’s Ark theme into his work…. rather fitting especially since Findlay has experience massive flooding this year, the worst in almost a hundred years this past summer. They have posted another flood warning starting this afternoon for the Blanchard River, so I am hoping the water doesn’t prevent the sand sculpture from being completed this year. There is an interview (from the radio) and a small photo on the Findlay newspaper website. http://www.thecourier.com/ They haven’t posted too many pictures of the work in progress, although I am sure with all of the rain that is hampering the progress!! I will try to snap some pictures of the sculpture this year— it is titled “Salvation in the Sand”. Enjoy your Easter in Texas.

The sculpture is completed and there is a link with both audio and video footage on the Findlay newspaper website. I’ll take some still photos tomorrow as well.
