Why create a website? For the past couple of years I have been maintaining a small site for my book club; recently I have been creating pages to share photos with family and friends; friends are always asking for suggestions about what I have been reading. Add those things up & why not?
Why Amy Artisan? When looking to claim a URL, I wanted to chose something that encompassed a lot of the things that make me "Me!" Looking at the definition for artisan it seemed to fit.
a skilled worker - Most days I would consider myself to be skilled.
who practices some trade - A lot of my time is spent on my trade: working as a business transformation consultant for a Chicago based business & IT solutions firm.
or handicraft- When I'm not busy at work on my trade I enjoy many handicrafts: primarily knitting, scrapbooking and cooking.
